Parentage Cases A parentage case is one that involves a minor child of parents who are not married to each other. These cases are especially important because unmarried parents do not often realize how easily their custodial rights may become at stake when there are no court orders. A parentage case encompasses child custody, visitation and child support matters. There are times where a Domestic Violence Restraining Order may be necessary to protect a parent or even the child. Parentage cases are similar to that of a divorce in that a Judgment must be completed to effectuate permanent and final orders.
Eliminate Future Conflicts through Agreements Parentage cases can also be handled by way of a full agreement between the parties which often times eliminates future conflict and provides clarity to the parties or court for intervention when necessary.
Child & Spousal Support Child support involves support that one parent has to pay so that the child can be taken care of. The non-earning party should be compensated until the client can start to get back up on their feet. Our offices assist clients in both child and spousal support matters.
